According to Egyptian archeologists, the Sphinx was constructed during the same time period as the Pyramids. However, in more recent years, it has been discovered that the Sphinx has evidence of water erosion at its base... In the very near future... Our "time travelers" (ego-maniacs) decide to that on their first outing with time travel, that they will travel back 10,500 years ago... far back in time to a pleasant period. A time of lush trees, fertile grounds, flowing springs of fresh water... Perhaps to the time of Adam and Eve??? Perhaps the time travelers travel back to Egypt: 8,500 B.C. And perhaps there, as their first monumental feet, they build the Sphinx. This would most definitely clear up the whole "water erosion" around the Sphinx' base. Remember the story of Noah's Ark, and the great flood. If our Father in Heaven was angry, because people were beginning to worship FALSE gods ( i.e.) the "time travelers"... then he would unleash the flood that involved Noah! It's that simple.
